C4ISTAR Case Studies
Air Defence
Jacobs Sula has successfully supported a number of Air Defence projects including: concept studies for the MoD's Network Enabled Air Defence System (NEADS), Synthetic Environment scenario definition for the Land Environment Air Picture Provision (LEAPP), and BMD studies. We have also undertaken studies looking at how future Integrated Air Defence Systems might be countered, for which we developed novel techniques for analysing complex, integrated systems.
Radar Systems Research
Supported by the Electromagnetic Remote Sensing Defence Technology Centre we have developed a novel concept for a Non-linear Synthetic Aperture Radar (NSAR) technique that overcomes the limitations of conventional SAR when imaging moving targets. Our work on naval Multifunction Radars (MFRs) includes the assessment of potential interference between MFRs and other RF systems and the development of approaches to MFR surveillance optimisation.
Network Enabled Capability
We provide Enterprise Architecture support to the MoD's Key Systems Advisor, helping to facilitate the delivery of Network Enabled Capability across the MoD.
Communications
We provide subject matter expertise for Radio Networks and Communications Management Systems for BOWMAN CIP (BCIP) and other military voice/data systems. We also provide Independent Technical Assurance to government departments, including the MoD, for BCIP 5, BCIP 6 and other tactical systems.
